Setting Goals
It all begins with an idea. Maybe it came to you suddenly during whatever project you’re working on, maybe it hit you at 12:00 am as you lay awake in bed, mind a wandering. Either way, isn’t it interesting these epiphanies we have. Whether through self or through those around us….however, if you never implement that idea into something, it remains just an idea.
If you’ve ever studied the law of attraction you’ll know that speaking things into existence can help manifest that idea, or thought into reality. Sometimes it isn’t enough to just think it, you have to write it down, say it, want it, feel it, be it. With intention! In order to fulfill those goals, you need to set them precisely how you want.
Homesteading is no different in that aspect. It’s like a burning passion, that drives that desire to constantly set goals, and constantly achieve them. Gardening alone is like a mountain of learning, even when you reach the top, you can see how many more peaks there are. Taking those big leaps of faith when it comes to raising livestock, or tilling your lawn, or taking your sales to market, especially when you live in the city, can be hesitating, but if those are hurdles you need to overcome to crush that goal, I can assure you, it is worth every single second invested, blood sweat and tears.
I find a sense of self discipline in setting goals as well. For me, that’s been sharing my ideas with others. Once I say it, I better follow through lol. Honestly a lot of times, its kept me on my toes. I try to stay true to my word, and do what I say I’m going to, and I love sharing this experience with everyone! Your interest, and feedback, and questions keeps me learning about so many different things all of the time. It truly is a wonderful experience to share your love of homesteading with others!
Do not wait for society to tell you when to make resolutions or set new goals.. you should be doing that personally year round. Self education, appreciation, and manifestation is of utmost importance for you to embrace as a human in the little time we have here on Earth.
Happy Homesteading, and goal setting!!
