Watering Stations
There are many methods and setups you can use to provide water and drinking stations for your pollinators specifically. I prefer a shallow dish, usually a planter bottom, filled with enough rocks or marbles that the insects can land and drink. It is important to have landing space above the surface of the water, other than just the outside rim of whatever you’re using. You will need to fill these every few days when there is no rain, and if you collect rain water, use that as often as possible. Watering stations are something often overlooked when trying to attract pollinators to your yard, or trying to practice natural conservation in providing for the environment around you and your homestead. We have several of these watering stations throughout the yard, and I encourage all of you to do the same!
